Vishay Intertechnology unveiled a brand-new line of surface-mount, multi-turn cermet trimmers. The devices in the TSM3 series combine a compact 3 mm by 4 mm by 4 mm footprint with a broad temperature range of -65 °C to +150 °C and IP67 sealing, making them ideal for space-constrained industrial, consumer, and telecom applications in harsh environments.
The Multi-Turn SMD Trimmers that were announced by Vishay is said to have a 25% lower case size and a greater operating temperature range than devices from prior generations.
Furthermore, compared to single-turn trimmers, the TSM3 series offers a faster setting to time ratio and fine-tuning of its broad 10 ? to 2 M? resistance range. With a 0.125 W power rating at +70 °C and two adjustment styles—top and side—the devices offer versatility for a range of design needs.
By supporting automated PCB assembly and setting processes, the TSM3 series improves production efficiency and reduces expenses and time.
The trimmers, which are completely sealed to withstand normal board wash processing, guarantee reliability in robotics, power tools, smoke detectors, radios, welding and cooling systems, automation controls and sensors, and precision testing equipment.
