The AEC-Q200 qualified Vishay Sfernice D2TO35M Thick Film Power Resistor combines high power dissipation of 35 W at 25 °C with multi-pulse capabilities for automotive applications.

The New Device Offers:

  • Greater power dissipation and reliability for repeated and repetitive pulse application when compared to typical devices in the TO-263 (D2PAK) package.
  • With an on/off time of 500 ms and 11 s, and a pulse energy of 18.9 J, the resistor provides a maximum drift of 2% after 1000 pulses at 25 °C and less than 5% after 100,000 pulses.
  • The gadget has a 1000 load life and can survive 1000 cycles of rapid change of temperature (RCT) testing.

Offering a non-inductive design, the D2TO35M features a resistance range from 10 ? to 10 k? — with tolerances of ± 2 %, ± 5 %, and ± 10 % — thermal resistance of 4.28 °C/W, TCR of 150 ± ppm/°C, and a wide operating temperature range from -55 °C to +175 °C. The RoHS-compliant device is solder reflow secure at 270 °C/10 s.
