Software-Based Test Simulator for Creating 5G IoT Chipsets and Devices by Anritsu

The Virtual Signalling Tester NR Software MX844030PC, a software-based test simulator for creating 5G IoT chipsets and devices, will be released by Anritsu Corporation. Using a Software Defined Radio (SDR) that performs the majority of traditional radio capabilities in software and a novel simulator that runs in a virtual environment on a PC with an advanced architecture, the solution facilitates 5G IoT testing.Virtual Signalling Tester NR Software MX844030PC by Anritsu the volt post

Several tests, such as DUT (Device Under Test) fault detection, performance evaluation, current consumption, device interoperability, and shipment inspection/security testing, are streamlined by 5G network simulation in a virtual environment.

Through the use of its virtualization simulator technology, Anritsu will contribute to quality assurance and development efficiency across a range of domains. The company plans to further expand this service beyond 5G and 6G.

From March 3 to March 6, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain, the solution will be on display at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025 Anritsu exhibit (exhibit location: Stand D41, Hall 5).

Development Background

The market for software-based virtualization testing has expanded quickly in recent years, and there is a need for solutions that make use of virtualization simulators’ benefits, such as lower costs, more effective testing, and lower risk, with an emphasis on developing adaptable scenarios.

Without the need for traditional dedicated development testers, testing on a PC environment allows for faster feedback, shorter test cycles, and lower hardware and operational expenses.

Furthermore, because it is simple to adapt to development requirements, different test environments with circumstances close to real operation settings can be built easily.
