The Virtual Network Master for AWS MX109030PC, a virtual network measurement solution which operates in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environments, has been introduced by ANRITSU CORPORATION. This software-based solution makes it possible to evaluate communication quality across networks including cloud and virtual environments accurately and repeatedly.

Virtual Network Master evaluates important network quality metrics in both one-way and round-trip directions, including latency, jitter, throughput, and packet (frame) loss rate. Even in virtual environments where hardware test instruments cannot be deployed, this program can reliably assess end-to-end (E2E) communication quality.
Additionally, integrating the Network Master Pro MT1000A/MT1040A test hardware to the network cellular side supports consistent quality evaluation from the cloud and core to field-deployed devices.
Background of Development
Virtual layers, such as servers and virtual switches, have a big impact on network communication quality because of advancements in cloud technology and virtualization.
However, it is challenging to put test hardware in data centers and cloud environments, which makes it difficult to determine the true quality of service across apps.
This solution, which runs on Amazon Web Services* (AWS), was created by Anritsu to precisely and consistently assess end-to-end (E2E) quality under realistic operational conditions, even in virtual settings.
Product Overview
The Virtual Network Master for AWS (MX109030PC) is a software-based solution to accurately evaluate network communication quality in Cloud and virtual environments.
Deploying software probes running on AWS across Cloud, data center, and virtual networks enables precise communication quality assessment, even in environments where hardware test instruments cannot be located.
- Measurement items: Throughput, delay, jitter, packet (frame) loss rate
- Operability: Supports remote operation and automation via web browser GUI and API
- Interoperability: Supports peer-to-peer testing between MX109030PCs and with the MT1000A/MT1040A, achieving consistent visualization from the field to the cloud
