Continuous Testing (CT) is becoming more and more common as a means of offering a unified view of real-world performance. However, laboratories are facing two hassles at once: an increase in tests and a shortage of headcounts.
In order to effectively manage the complexity, scheduling, and manpower requirements of CT, automation has become essential. This enables technicians to efficiently through hundreds of test cases quickly and concentrate on higher-order analysis and problem-solving.
To automate test campaigns and their execution in a single, centralized cloud-based Lab-as-a-Service platform, VIAVI developed VAMOS as part of its industry-leading NITRO Wireless portfolio. Faster response times and test optimization are made possible by integrated AI and ML capabilities.
The testing process is streamlined across organizations and lab locations via VAMOS’s customizable workspaces and configurations. Multiple test demands are accommodated by shared tool testbeds and individual sandboxes, and test accuracy is increased and test resource utilization is maximized by the platform’s robust analytics and reporting.

VAMOS is a standalone solution for planning and running test campaigns based on VIAVI’s NITRO Wireless portfolio. It may also be coupled with a third-party automation framework to engage with a broader range of products and pre-existing test environments. There are two ways to connect: software and hardware.
For the lab’s on-demand, cloud-based testing, VAMOS will be integrated into the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR).
