The VIAVI ONE LabPro ONE-1600, the first electrical 212G/lane, 1.6Tb/s testing system that has been validated in labs worldwide, has improved performance capabilities, according to Viavi Solutions.
The upgraded VIAVI ONE LabPro ONE-1600 platform, which makes use of the most recent SerDes and DSP technology from Broadcom, offers a highly sophisticated test platform for physical layer silicon that is completely in line with new standards.
It also allows for the testing of both framed and unframed traffic and supports high-bandwidth network switching devices at the core of Ethernet fabric for AI at scale.
The ONE LabPro ONE-1600, which was awarded high-score honors from the 2025 Lightwave+BTR Innovation Reviews, will be on display at VIAVI Booth 2319 during the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) Conference and Exposition in San Francisco, California from April 1-3, 2025. It is available in 2-port and 4-port rack mount configurations for maximum port density.
At a never-before-seen pace, emerging applications like AI, ML, HPC, and quantum computing are increasing bandwidth need and scale. ONE LabPro ONE-1600 provides research and development (R&D), System Verification Testing (SVT), and live production and manufacturing testing to manufacturers of integrated circuits (ICs), transceivers, and switching systems that operate at up to 1.6Tb/s.
The VIAVI ONE LabPro testing platform combines multi-port, multi-flow traffic generation and analysis across a range of data rates with physical layer insights.
A single controller can orchestrate 64 × 1.6Tb/s test ports using ONE-1600 modules or 128 x 800Gb/s test ports using HSE-800 modules, giving ONE LabPro the highest port density and scalability available on the market.
It can scale to 102Tb/s of test bandwidth. The controller can centrally administer the system, which has complete breakout capabilities, multi-user logical port support, and single-user per logical port granularity. It can also synchronize to sub-nanosecond mixed combinations of test modules.
In order to troubleshoot and test the functioning and performance of ICs, pluggable interfaces, switching and routing devices, and networks, ONE LabPro offers sophisticated traffic creation and analysis through a modern web-based user interface and a next-generation, Python-based automation framework.
