VIAVI Solutions has introduced the new DCX 700 Tier 1 Optical Loss Test Set, designed to test up to 24 fibers at once. Building on VIAVI’s deep expertise in multifiber testing, the DCX 700 is purpose-built for modern, high-density data centers, helping teams simplify and speed up multifiber certification workflows.
With native support for 12-, 16-, and 24-fiber configurations, the DCX 700 streamlines operations by eliminating Y-cables and complicated reference procedures.
It also boosts testing throughput allowing more certifications to be completed per shift. An intuitive, automated workflow enables one-cord referencing, reducing setup time, minimizing errors, and shortening the learning curve for new technicians.
The DCX 700 fully supports Tier 1 certification in accordance with key industry standards for data center fiber infrastructure. Its modular adaptors ensure compatibility with both current and evolving connector types, while a rugged chassis and extended-life battery enable reliable, full-day field operation.
Complementing VIAVI’s expanding multifiber testing lineup, the DCX 700 joins the INX 700 probe microscopes, which feature shared battery technology for continuous, automated inspection of single and multifiber connectors. Designed with hyperscale data centers in mind, both devices address critical needs for speed, accuracy, and endurance during long inspection sessions.
The DCX 700 Tier 1 Optical Loss Test Set will make its debut at Data Centre World London 2026 on March 4–5, at VIAVI’s booth D32. The product has also earned a 4.0 score in the 2026 Lightwave Innovation Reviews, reflecting its strong impact and technical excellence in fiber testing innovation.
