UST and T-Works brings together UST’s digital, AI, and system integration skills with T-Works’ prototyping infrastructure and robust startup ecosystem.

UST has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Works to speed up product innovation in the manufacturing and engineering industries. UST will operate as the systems integrator, providing end-to-end solutions and a platform for T-Works startups to scale-up, particularly in areas such as semiconductor ATE frameworks, Smart Factory integration and automotive AI platforms.
UST and T-Works brings together UST’s digital, AI, and system integration skills with T-Works’ prototyping infrastructure and robust startup ecosystem.
Customers in the automotive, semiconductor, and manufacturing industries can expect up to 45% faster hardware-to-digital integration by combining UST’s IoT-driven digital prototyping capabilities with T-Works’ physical production skills.
The UST and T-Works MoU was formally signed at UST’s Thiruvananthapuram campus by UST’s Chief Operating Officer, Alexander Varghese, and T-Works’ CEO, Joginder Tanikella. The ceremony was attended by Sahaj R Sandhu from T Works, Shilpa Menon, UST Thiruvananthapuram Center Head, Bhavesh Sasirajan, Ashok G Nair, and Deepti Sujatha, as well as Roshni Das K from UST.
Shared-risk innovation models and collaborative IP ownership will allow for an estimated 40% reduction in R&D expenses, making advanced prototyping and digital transformation available to startups, MSMEs, and major corporations.
In addition, UST customers will gain a competitive edge by having priority access to AI-optimized CNC processes, early GaN power device prototypes, and subsidized use of UST semiconductor design libraries.
As part of this UST and T-Works MoU, UST plans to deploy its resources at T-Works’ cutting-edge prototyping facility, giving its staff hands-on expertise at various phases of product development.
It also involves the combined development and commercialization of new intellectual property, such as 5G-enabled industrial IoT modules, as well as the incubation of Industry 4.0 solutions for automotive suppliers using a UST-powered accelerator.
