Same Sky Interconnect Group announced that a number of new types that adhere to the USB 2.0 standard have been added to its lineup of USB Type C connectors. With ultra-compact package lengths as low as 5.9 mm, the UJ20 family is perfect for designs with limited space and high board real estate requirements. These USB 2.0 Type C outlets can offer up to 240 W of power at 48 V and 5 A and allow data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbps.
The UJ20 models, which are housed in either horizontal or vertical packages with surface mount, mid mount SMT, or through hole mounting methods, have an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C with strong reliability up to 10,000 mating cycles.
Most models are compatible with reflow solder, including a number of IP-rated components that use UV-glued O-rings that can withstand the temperatures of reflow solder.
