TRACO POWER New Line of POL Switching Regulators

TRACO POWER has rolled out a new line of POL switching regulators. The TSR 2N / TSR 3N series 2 and 3 Amp POL switching regulators flaunt a cost-efficient design.

The TSR 2N and TSR 3N are two step-down switching regulator series (2A and 3A) and a drop-in replacement for any TO-220 package linear regulators.

These series complement TRACO POWER‘s new generation of POL converters, which prioritize cost-effective design while simultaneously enhancing crucial electrical specifications. They are packaged in a small SIP-3 plastic box. There are output voltages ranging from 1.2 to 15VDC.POL switching regulators TSR 2N TSR 3N TRACO POWER the volt post

Key Features Include

  • Highly cost-efficient design
  • Pin compatible with TO-220 package linear regulators
  • Excellent thermal capabilities
  • Operation temperature. range –40°C to +95°C
  • Efficiency up to 95%
  • Wide input operating range 4.6–36 VDC
  • Short circuit protection, current limitation and under voltage lockout features
  • Excellent line / load regulation
  • 3 year product warranty

Depending on the model, the effective design eliminates the requirement for a heat sink or forced cooling and enables full load operation up to +95°C ambient temperature (at nominal Vin).

Other noteworthy features offered by the TSR 2N and TSR 3N switching regulators include:

  • Undervoltage lockout,
  • Current limiting,
  • Short Circuit Protection.

All things considered, they have a wide range of applications in various settings and are particularly well-suited for large-scale projects where the series will lower manufacturing costs by providing a reliable and extremely cost-effective solution.
