The TPSMB Asymmetrical TVS Diodes offer a single-component solution that protects anti-reverse MOSFETs, diodes, and DC/DC converter ICs from both positive and negative surges, in contrast to traditional methods that frequently call for multiple components.
Engineers can choose lesser-rated MOSFETs or diodes since the asymmetrical clamping capability guarantees substantially lower clamping voltage from negative surges. This method lowers overall BOM costs, simplifies design, and decreases conduction losses.
