Texas Instruments (TI) has inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art product research and development (R&D) center in Bengaluru, marking four decades of the company’s operations in India. Spanning over 550,000 square feet, the facility is designed to foster collaboration and innovation in semiconductor design and development.

The new center houses advanced integrated circuit (IC) design labs and a comprehensive reliability lab equipped to test devices under varied environmental conditions. It serves as a hub for developing next-generation analog and embedded processing technologies.
The facility was officially inaugurated by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways; Information & Broadcasting; and Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, along with senior TI leadership.

This expansion reflects TI’s long-term commitment to driving semiconductor innovation in India, empowering engineering talent, and strengthening the country’s position in the global chip design ecosystem.
TI’s maiden Indian R&D center in 1985 has driven semiconductor growth in the country for 40 years. Employing thousands across India, TI is ramping up its footprint with a new sales office to boost customer ties and a cutting-edge R&D hub to fuel regional innovation.
