Tessolve SMARC Module on Rz/V2H MPU For Industrial Vision AI

By delivering a new addition to its SMARC SOM module portfolio based on Renesas’s high-performance RZ/V2H MPU, Tessolve and Renesas have partnered to improve their systems solution offering in the industrial market sector, allowing vision AI and real-time control capability.Tessolve SMARC SOM on RzV2H MPU the volt post

Based on the Renesas RZ/V2H MPU, which has four Arm Cortex-A55 CPU cores in addition to two Cortex-R8 cores, one Cortex-M33 core, and a specialized AI Accelerator, Tessolve’s SMARC compliant with SMARC standard 2.1 version: Operating on Yocto Linux, the DRP-AI3 can handle up to 64GB of flash and up to 16GB of low-power DDR4 RAM. It is capable of 8 TOPS (dense) and 80 TOPS/sparse.

The Tessolve SMARC module also has Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe®, USB 3.2, SDIO, MIPI CSI, and MIPI DSI high-speed interfaces. The module comes with an industrial temperature grade available.

These robust cores work together to efficiently manage activities related to real-time control and vision AI.

For industrial automation applications including autonomous robots, smart cameras, and machine vision, the RZ/V2H is the perfect choice because of its reduced power consumption and the removal of fans and other cooling components.

“Tessolve’s SMARC SOM, based on Renesas RZ/V2H MPU, aims to deliver an AI-powered computer vision system with a 360° surround view solution to the Industrial, robotics, and transportation markets, accelerating OEMs’ time to market. The computer vision system solution supports up to 4 camera inputs, enabling 360° surround view capabilities, making it ideal for demanding applications with AI requirements of the future. Built using Tessolve’s 3-D product engineering principle, which stands for Development platform, Deployable system, or Derivative solution, our system solution can be adopted by OEMs either ‘as is’ or can be customized for their needs. Tessolve accelerates OEMs’ time to market with exceptional ODM abilities, offering white labelling as well,” said Kiran Kumar Nagendra, AVP- Embedded Systems, Tessolve.
