Tata Motors and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have partnered for five years to expedite Tata Motors’ sustainability efforts. By digitizing ESG data and enabling real-time monitoring, automated ESG compliance reporting, and data-driven sustainability insights, Tata Motors sustainability platform, Prakriti, powered by the AI-driven TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange (IUX), will improve Tata Motors’ capacity to drive quantifiable environmental impact across its operations and reporting across all of its plants.

Configuring IUX for sustainability and co-developing the Prakriti solution to meet Tata Motors’ operational and sustainability needs were made possible in large part by the expertise and domain input from Tata Motors.
Sustainability is a top priority for Tata Motors, the top brand in India for auto manufacturing and mobility solutions affirms its official release.
The company states that it is devoted to developing circular economies, protecting nature and biodiversity, and reaching net-zero emissions for passenger and commercial vehicles by 2040 and 2045, respectively.
In order to achieve these objectives, Tata Motors is implementing strong, data-driven solutions to improve decision-making in several important sustainability domains, such as risk management, carbon accounting, product footprinting, circularity, biodiversity, and regulatory compliance—areas that have historically relied on manual processes.
Tata Motors is incorporating ESG data into a tailored, unified sustainability platform through its partnership with TCS, allowing for advanced sustainability analytics, regulatory reporting, and emissions computation. While maintaining adherence to SEBI’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework, Tata Motors also hopes to expand its sustainability approach throughout its supplier chain.
Organizations need to collect a lot of sustainability data in order to comply with requirements. Data capture, integration, and presentation are difficult because many businesses find it difficult to gather the required emissions and greenhouse gas data, particularly indirect (Scope 3) emissions from value chain partners. Prakriti is an AI/ML platform that facilitates reporting and monitoring of sustainability.
It provides thorough analysis, suggestions, and measurements for ecologically conscious, sustainable operations throughout the company and its value chain. Additionally, it aids businesses in enhancing their ESG performance across supplier networks at tiers 1, 2, and 3.
TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange (IUX) would facilitate quick regulatory compliance and efficient ESG tracking by assisting in the establishment of sustainable digitization throughout the whole value chain.
In line with Tata Motors’ larger sustainability agenda, its special adaptability to automotive-specific requirements will spur sustainability transformation among workers, suppliers, and dealers.
TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange (IUX) is a comprehensive, multifaceted sustainability solution that advances environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and social responsibility while enabling enterprises to cut emissions, save expenses, and save resources.
