T-Hub and Beyond Next Ventures India (BNVI) have signed an extension to their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which extends their cooperation until November 2027. This expansion demonstrates India and Japan’s sustained commitment to supporting cross-border innovation in deep technology and social impact.
Building on the original MoU signed in 2023, the expanded relationship will allow for the implementation of several significant initiatives over the next five years.
The renewed MoU will advance three primary strategic initiatives, which are designed to create sustainable value for both ecosystems:
- Social Innovation Program (India): As part of this initiative, T-Hub and BNVI will develop a Social Innovation Program to support entrepreneurs addressing crucial social and environmental concerns. This program will be run alongside BNVI’s BRAVE Accelerator, with money and coaching provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It would allow Indian businesses to use Japanese experience and resources to expand ideas globally, eventually benefiting disadvantaged communities and addressing issues such as climate change, healthcare, and poverty.
- Innovation Leaders Program (India): T-Hub and BNVI will work together to create a localized version of BNVI’s Innovation Leaders Program, which aims to build a pipeline of highly competent, science-backed entrepreneurs in India. This program will cultivate a new generation of talent capable of addressing challenging global issues and producing cutting-edge technology solutions. By developing strong entrepreneurial potential in India, this effort will strengthen India’s position as a worldwide powerhouse for high-tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Indo-Japan Innovation Program (India and Japan): This program will encourage greater collaboration between Japanese firms and Indian startups, establishing a platform for mutual benefit. T-Hub and BNVI intend to support the construction of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India, which will act as innovation hubs for Japanese companies looking to expand into the Indian market. This alliance will also help Indian startups acquire market access in Japan, allowing them to expand abroad and broaden their business opportunities.
- BNVI will operate from T-Hub’s Hyderabad campus, leading innovative activities through the Indo-Japan innovative Bridge and T-Bridge programs. These endeavors will link ecosystems from both countries, enabling open innovation, mentorship, and cross-border collaboration.
This collaboration intends to greatly benefit both parties and the greater innovation ecosystem by opening up new commercial opportunities, improving talent development, and generating long-term societal impact through entrepreneurship.
The relationship will allow companies to get access to new markets, resources, and experience, as well as help both countries accelerate innovation in the deep-tech and social impact sectors.
