Synopsys Bidding on Advance Tech, Expands AI-Based Multi-Die Portfolio

By introducing a multi-die reference flow that is ready for production and backed by its Synopsys.ai EDA suite, IP, and the 3DIC Compiler—which now includes Synopsys 3DSO.ai—Synopsys broadened its AI-based Multi-Die Portfolio offering.Synopsys AI-based Multi-Die Portfolio with EDA IP, 3DIC the volt post

The manufacturing time of multi-die designs is shortened by the recently released reference flow from silicon to the finished product. Enhancements to signal, power, thermal integrity, and system performance are also achieved by including the 3DIC Compiler into the design pipeline.

This new design methodology will be used to the packaging platform from Intel Foundry for integrated multi-die interconnect bridges. Additionally, in order to assist Intel in lowering integration risk and time-to-market, Synopsys is producing intellectual property (IP), specifically for Intel Foundry.

It is anticipated that the introduction of this AI-based Multi-Die reference flow would improve Synopsys’ standing within the semiconductor manufacturing industry and its relationship with Intel. Sales of Synopsys 3DSO.ai and the Synopsys.ai EDA suite, two of Synopsys AI-based solutions, will increase as a result of Intel using this new design methodology.

Gains From Increasing AI Portfolio for Synopsys

A Statista analysis projects that between 2024 and 2030, the AI market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 28.46%. Synopsys is steadily expanding its range of products in order to take advantage of the expanding AI market.

In order to enable AI architecture, Synopsys has released hardware thus far in 2024, such as the Synopsys ZeBu EP2, HAPS-100 12 system, and Complete PCIe 7.0 IP solution. Synopsys has introduced Polaris Assist, an AI-powered application security assistant, into the software and application industry.

Due to the continuous geopolitical unrest around the world, Synopsys is susceptible to currency fluctuations as a substantial percentage of their revenue is generated from outside the country.

Due to its reliance on a limited number of clients that account for a sizable amount of its income, Synopsys also risks concentration risk.

Synopsys’ top line is being driven by its entry into the artificial intelligence (AI) area through collaborations with AI chip vendors. Over the course of the previous year, Synopsys has cooperated with major players in the industry, such as Intel, AMD, and Microsoft, to enhance its AI portfolio.

Synopsys gains from its stronger position in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry, which is fueled by intellectual property (IP) chips and the EDA suite offered by Synopsys.ai.
