SMA Solar Technology has integrated Semikron Danfoss’ Module with ROHM 2kV SiC MOSFETs into its new large-scale solar system “Sunny Central FLEX”, a modular platform designed to streamline and improve grid connections for large-scale photovoltaic installations, battery storage systems, and emerging technologies.
The SEMITRANS 20 power module from Semikron Danfoss is the next generation of power modules for big converters, designed for high power applications and quick switching.
SEMITRANS 20 with ROHM 2kV SiC MOSFETs is a key component of SMA’s Sunny Central FLEX. “Semikron Danfoss and ROHM have worked together for over a decade, especially on the integration of silicon carbide (SiC) in power modules. “We recently collaborated to integrate silicon IGBTs as well,” explains Peter Sontheimer, Senior Vice President of Semikron Danfoss’ Industry business.
