Join The element14 Smart Security, Surveillance Design Challenge

element14 has teamed up with Analog Devices (ADI) to launch an exciting new design challenge that calls on engineers and makers to push the boundaries of security and surveillance innovation.

Security Design Challenge with ADI and element14 The Volt Post

Participants are invited to build advanced prototypes or test rigs using ADI’s powerful MAX32630FTHR development platform, alongside Würth Elektronik’s SMD LEDs powered by an integrated WL-ICLED controller.

The challenge encourages inventive applications of these technologies to create smarter, more responsive security solutions.

Selected challengers will receive a free kit featuring ADI’s MAX32630FTHR as the core component to help bring their ideas to life. Throughout the process, participants will share their progress and final builds through detailed blogs on the element14 Community.

Potential project ideas include facial recognition entry systems, multi-sensor surveillance setups, environmental and break-in monitoring, voice-and-face detection, crowd sentiment analysis, and even remote security sentry solutions.

Winners will take home some impressive prizes:

  • 1st place: A 13-piece SimpliSafe Home Security System plus a Multicomp Pro Hot Air Rework Station

  • 2nd place: The same SimpliSafe system along with a multi screwdriver set

  • 3rd place: The SimpliSafe system

All participants who successfully complete the challenge will also receive a MultiComp Pro Multimeter Set.
