SCHURTER expands its existing range of 5-15R types by introducing new NR520 series NEMA 5-20R outlets.
The new configuration extends the range of outlets rated 15 A to include a 20 A version for applications with increased power demands.
SCHURTER’s NR520, which is the NEMA standard 5-20R [20 A at 125 V] configuration, complements SCHURTER’s existing range of outlets with the configuration NEMA 5- 15R [15 A at 125 V].
The higher load capacity of 20 A for the new NR520 outlets is accompanied by an operating temperature rating of up to 150 °C, which makes the outlets especially suited for environments with increased thermal demands, such as those found in data applications.
Key Features of NR520 Outlets Includes:
- The NR520 combines the highest safety and performance standards with time-saving and user-friendly installation.
- Serrated snappers accept a range of 0.8 – 2.0 mm panel thickness. Terminal options include insulation displacement (IDC) for L, N & PE, or combined IDC for L & N and PE with a quick-connect tab for maximum power load to each inlet.
- The IDC terminals accept solid wires in sizes 14 or 12 AWG and are mounted with a terminal cover.
- This terminal style is particularly important for the assembly of power distribution units (PDUs) or strips of multiples.
- Available in three colors: black, grey, and white, these color options allow for contrasting and identifying different power areas in the power infrastructure.

The SCHURTER NR series outlets are ideal for use in duplex or multiple power outlet distribution units used in office furniture, power charging stations in dwellings such as hotels, airports, and aircrafts, as well as in power panels in medical offices and hospitals.
