Sam Franklin has been named Chief Financial Officer by the Board of Directors of GlobalFoundries (GF), with immediate effect. Prior to his current position as interim CFO, Mr. Franklin was Senior Vice President of Business Finance & Operations and Investor Relations.

Franklin has a strong background in financial leadership and a track record of achieving both strategic expansion and operational success. Since joining GF in 2022, he has held top positions managing treasury, capital markets, investor relations, business finance, and finance operations.
As GlobalFoundries continues to implement its long-term vision, he is well-positioned to head the company’s finance and operations department thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the company’s operations and dedication to rigorous financial management.
