Rohde & Schwarz QPS201 AIT security scanners that employ are being deployed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at airport checkpoints in the US host cities of the Soccer World Cup.
Rohde & Schwarz declared that it has received a multi-million dollar award from TSA to supply its QPS201 AIT security scanners to passenger security screening checkpoints at specific airports that will host the 2026 Soccer World Cup.
The QPS201 was certified to the highest requirements of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and the TSA in 2022, allowing it to be used in US passenger security screening checkpoints.
There are currently over 100 R&S QPS201 AIT security scanners installed in US airports and over 2,000 devices installed in airports across the globe. The QPS201 quickly and precisely scans passengers for hidden dangers using safe millimeter wave radio frequency technology.
Travelers may easily and conveniently undergo security screening thanks to the system’s hands-down scan position and open design, which only takes milliseconds every scan.
