Opting Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model, Rosmerta Group inks a deal to set up six Automated Testing Stations (ATS) throughout Maharashtra. The five-year agreement, which costs INR 109.15 crore, is a major milestone in the state’s efforts to encourage vehicle compliance and road safety by investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Advanced, automated testing systems will be installed at the six ATS locations—Gondia, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Ratnagiri, Beed, and Chiplun—to accurately and transparently evaluate a vehicle’s roadworthiness.
Under Chapter XI of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), the Government of India has directed that manual testing be phased out and that standardized, technologically enabled procedures be implemented nationwide. This project complies with that direction.
In addition to Rosmerta‘s successful operation of prototype I&C centers commissioned by MoRTH, which include more than half a million vehicle tests worldwide, this endeavor builds on the company’s existing work on a larger INR 400 crore project to create 21 ATS around Maharashtra.
In Maharashtra, Rosmerta keeps growing its presence by collaborating closely with the State Transport Department to provide game-changing solutions that save lives and encourage adherence to regulations.

Kartick Nagpal, President, Rosmerta Group, commented on the development: “We are honoured to partner with the State Transport Department of Maharashtra to bring world-class, technology-driven Automated Testing Stations to the state under the BOOT model. These centres will enhance road safety by making vehicle fitness testing more precise, transparent, and accessible, especially in regions where such infrastructure has been limited. We commend the Department for taking a proactive approach to improving compliance and roadworthiness across the state, setting a strong example for others in prioritising road safety through advanced infrastructure.”
