ROHM has expanded its lineup of low-voltage (40V/60V) automotive MOSFETs including main inverters, electric pumps, and LED headlights by introducing its latest products featuring the new HPLF5060 package (4.9mm × 6.0mm).Â

As vehicles demand more compact and efficient electronic components, automotive MOSFETs are moving toward smaller package sizes like the 5060 format and even smaller.
However, shrinking devices brings mounting challenges, especially given the tighter terminal spacing and leadless structures common to these packages.
ROHM’s new HPLF5060 package tackles these issues head-on. It offers a significantly smaller footprint than the widely used TO-252 package (6.6mm × 10.0mm) while improving board-mount reliability with its gull-wing lead design.
At the same time, its copper clip junction technology enables high-current performance, making it a robust and reliable choice for harsh automotive environments.
Mass production of the new series began in November 2025, priced at $3.5 per unit (excluding tax). The devices are now available through major online distributors, including DigiKey and Farnell.
Looking ahead, ROHM plans to begin mass production of MOSFETs in the smaller DFN3333 package (3.3mm × 3.3mm) which utilizes wettable flank technology around February 2026.
Development is also underway on a new TOLG (TO-Leaded with Gull-wing) package (9.9mm × 11.7mm) to further broaden ROHM’s lineup of high-power, high-reliability solutions.
