Tata Elxsi, Denso New Lab Focuses on Life Sciences, Healthcare

The “Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab” has been inaugurated at Tata Elxsi’s Frankfurt location, in collaboration with DENSO Robotics Europe and AAtek. The lab will function as a research and development center, concentrating on modular automation, speeding up product development, and streamlining maintenance to satisfy the demand for automation solutions worldwide.

It is outfitted for both proof-of-concept (POC) and full-scale development. This contains live demonstrations of modular and high-precision robotic implementations in sterile, diagnostic, and cell/tissue culture settings.

The new Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab will focus on several critical areas, including drug development, bioprocessing, diagnostics, automated handling of cell cultures in sterile conditions, liquid handling and dispensing solutions, hospital lab automation, and AI-driven analytics to support personalized medicine.

The center will offer services like platform engineering, application development, product design and engineering, and assistance with regulatory compliance.

Customers may co-create, test, and implement robotic solutions made to address the particular operational and regulatory difficulties of the healthcare sector thanks to this special fusion of cutting-edge technology and extensive automation knowledge.

Researchers and students from the Frankfurt Innovation Center (FIZ) and the Hessen startup ecosystem are also welcome to use the lab, which was created to promote innovation in the area.

Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab is ideally situated to become a major enabler in the worldwide robotics and automation environment, assisting clients in navigating the intricate and quickly changing healthcare automation field. It has plans for future expansion in the USA and India, stated the official release.
