This partnership plugs Tata Electronics into Qualcomm’s worldwide network of module makers, helping meet surging global demand for ready-to-go automotive platforms.

Right in line with “Make in India,” they’ll produce these modules at Tata Electronics’ new semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Jagiroad, Assam.

Key Goals of This Partnership

  • Ramp up local production of cutting-edge automotive tech for digital cockpits, infotainment, connectivity, and smart vehicle systems, serving Indian and global automakers while boosting supply chain resilience and diversity.
  • Qualcomm’s Automotive Modules pack Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chips (SoCs) with all the essential components into one production-ready unit. They make life easier for automakers by streamlining design, speeding up development, and supporting scalable setups as the industry shifts to software-defined vehicles.

Tata Electronics bring end-to-end expertise across electronics and semiconductor manufacturing for global customers.

Their Jagiroad facility, India’s first homegrown OSAT plant, backed by a massive $3 billion investment will handle Qualcomm’s modules using advanced tech like Wire Bond, Flip Chip, and Integrated Systems Packaging (ISP).

It’s geared for high-volume output in automotive, communications, IoT, and AI applications.
