Prism SKR, A New Leap in Autonomous Precision Target Detection

The newest member of the Prism embedded software ecosystem, Prism SKR unveiled by Teledyne FLIR OEM, a division of Teledyne Technologies.Prism SKR by Teledyne FLIR OEM for guided weapon systems the volt post

For autonomously guided weapon systems, such as loitering munitions, air-launched effects (ALE), counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), low-cost missiles, and smart munitions, Prism SKR, which is pronounced “seeker,” establishes a new benchmark in precise automatic target recognition (ATR).

Key Features Include:

  • Prism SKR runs smoothly on low-power embedded processors at the edge.
  • Prism SKR’s sophisticated algorithms offer real-time target position, identification, direction of motion, and aim-point localization, and they are compatible with both visible and infrared (IR) thermal camera data.
  • During air-to-ground (A2G), air-to-air, and ground-to-ground missions, the platform’s autonomous flight system is guided by the target information.

Because of its unconventional interoperability, the Prism software ecosystem expedites development and reduces time to market.

Developers and integrators can use detection and tracking models that leverage the six million visual and thermal annotations provided by Teledyne FLIR OEM, beginning with the Prism AI embedded software.

The Prism AIMMGen synthetic dataset and model training tool chain enables the rapid integration of custom target lists.  Lastly, where ATR is needed, Prism Supervisor enables autonomous mission control and platform guiding using Prism SKR.Prism SKR by Teledyne FLIR OEM for guided weapon systems the volt post 1

With its sophisticated features, strong ecosystem, and full software development kit (SDK) and application programming interface (API) for customization and performance optimization, Prism SKR is the best option for OEMs looking to improve the accuracy and dependability of autonomous weapon systems.

Leadership Comments

“Compatible with existing autonomy and navigation software via a Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA) compliant interface, Prism SKR represents a significant leap forward in autonomous precision target detection, identification, and tracking technology for defense OEM developers and integrators,” said Dan Walker, vice president of product management, Teledyne FLIR OEM. “Additionally, developers can reduce development risk and costs with plug-and-play integration with the Prism embedded software ecosystem and Teledyne FLIR IR camera modules.”Prism SKR by Teledyne FLIR OEM for guided weapon systems the vot post 3
