The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is based on comprehensive sensor and process data from the field level. Pepperl+Fuchs, in collaboration with Bosch Digital Twins Industries and Syntax, will present a collaborative offering at HMI2025 that demonstrates how quickly aggregated data can be transmitted to proven cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
The complete starter package
Pepperl+Fuchs‘ Digital Twin Starter Kit will be displayed beside this model at the trade exhibition to replicate a real-world application. The package includes sophisticated sensors, an IO-Link master, a fanless embedded PC, and all of the other hardware components needed for seamless integration.
The IO-Link master acts as an interface between the sensors and the embedded PC, preprocessing and aggregating field-level data before transferring it to the Bosch Digital Twin platform, also known as the Intelligence Core. The integrated intelligent asset performance management (IAPM) solution uses a simulation model to analyze data in real time.
Process sensors for Predictive Maintenance
The application of machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence enables services such as failure prediction, maintenance schedule optimization, and action recommendations. This ensures proactive interventions and trouble-free running of the industrial facility.
The starter kit configures itself automatically after connecting to the internet and powering on. The open platform and communication standards employed ensure maximum flexibility and individual scalability.
