Panasonic Industry has introduced FineX (“FineCross”), a new generation of transparent conductive film designed to deliver high-performance electromagnetic wave shielding in advanced display, industrial, and wireless communication systems.

Built on Panasonic’s proprietary ultra?fine copper metal?mesh technology, FineX achieves an unprecedented balance of optical clarity, low electrical resistance, and design flexibility, setting a new standard for transparent EMI shielding materials.
The Panasonic Industry film is supplied in roll format with a pre-applied Optical Clear Adhesive (OCA), allowing for smooth, bubble-free lamination and easy handling during assembly.
Key Features
-
High transparency: FineX uses ultra?fine metal mesh wiring to maintain exceptional light transmission and clear visibility—ideal for applications like high?resolution displays, touchscreens, and glass?based HMI components.
-
Ultra-low resistance: A high wiring aspect ratio delivers remarkable conductivity and efficient heat performance without sacrificing transparency. FineX offers strong shielding capabilities without the need for power or electrical connection to the device.
-
Diffraction-free design flexibility: Panasonic’s expertise in precision copper mesh patterning enables complex, customizable designs that adapt to a wide range of electromagnetic wave shielding needs—without causing diffraction issues.
-
Excellent bendability: The ultra?thin film structure and fine wiring allow FineX to conform easily to curved or irregular surfaces, supporting innovative product designs across industrial and display applications.
-
Ready-to-use roll format: Delivered with a uniform, pre?applied OCA layer, FineX simplifies the lamination process, reduces the risk of contamination, and boosts overall productivity on the production line.
Applications and Target Markets
Noise Shielding (EMI/EMC):
-
Transparent EMI shielding for touch displays, industrial HMIs, and large?format monitors
-
Shielding windows, control panels, and sensor interfaces in industrial machinery
Radio Wave Environment Control:
-
Improving RFID accuracy by precisely limiting radio wave zones
-
Enhancing Wi-Fi and wireless performance by reducing interference in complex signal environments
With its combination of clarity, conductivity, and electromagnetic control, FineX is set to become a go-to material for next-generation devices that demand both visual performance and advanced EMI shielding.
Leadership Comment
“As devices grow more integrated and wireless coexistence becomes increasingly challenging, FineX empowers manufacturers to build products that are clearer, more efficient, and easier to assemble,” remarks Panasonic’s FineX product manager Yoshitaka Takeyama, “Our proprietary metal-mesh technology and OCA-integrated design bring new freedom to engineers developing next-generation electronic systems.”
