FISEGO Holding and Panasonic Industry Europe have announced a strategic partnership. With its cutting-edge fire prevention systems and smart power strips with integrated safety technology, the innovative start-up from Hesse, Germany, is raising the bar for fire safety. These next-generation devices rely heavily on Panasonic Industry‘s polarized DW-YL relay.
In the case of a technical malfunction or an imminent fire, the already-available FISEGO EINS instantly cuts off the power supply and notifies the user in real time through the related app. This preserves human life more significantly than it does property.
The power strip can handle nearly any load situation thanks to the 20A relay’s exceptional inrush current capabilities of up to 320A. Even while switching capacitive loads with high inrush currents, the contacts of the most recent version of the DW relay do not weld thanks to structural optimizations, such as improved contact materials.
The VDE-certified smart sockets have several uses, ranging from safeguarding big appliances to integrating with smart home and industrial environments. Interestingly, FISEGO’s sockets are the only smart sockets with a VDE certification in the entire world. This demonstrates how strictly they adhere to safety regulations.
The use of sustainable materials that provide exceptional energy efficiency, lessen environmental impact, and lower running costs sets FISEGO’s products apart. Relays made by Panasonic Industry play a major role in these advantages.
Their extremely effective polarization drive method maximizes energy use, lowers the power strip’s total system power demand, and prolongs the product’s life. Along with the DW-YL relay’s small size, this also lowers heat generation inside the housing, supporting strict space-saving design specifications.
The partnership brings together FISEGO’s innovation and agility with Panasonic Industry’s longstanding expertise in technology and service.
The regional collaboration has proven to be an additional advantage, as short distances and personal contact have enabled efficient product development and faster time-to-market.
The cooperation with Panasonic will not be limited to the current power strip. FISEGO plans to equip all future socket models with Panasonic relays and also intends to rely on Panasonic technology for integrating its fire protection system into other electrical appliances, such as dryers, washing machines, ventilation systems, refrigeration units and milling machines.
Leadership Comments
“Smart safety technologies require highly reliable components, and that’s exactly where our DW-YL relays come into play,” explains Florian Becker, Product Manager Relay Electronics at Panasonic Industry Europe. “It has been a real pleasure to work alongside this young team of founders and use our experience to help bring new ideas to life. From early lab testing and prototype qualification to pilot production and the final product, it is always exciting to see a vision become reality.”
“You rarely encounter such high-quality customer support. From the very beginning, communication was on equal terms,” says Fabian Goedert, Managing Director of FISEGO Holding GmbH. “Our mission is to combine cutting-edge technology with safety in order to meet the modern demands of smart homes and energy management. That is why it was so important for us to integrate a relay we could truly rely on. Despite our different company backgrounds, we share a common goal of setting the highest quality standards, and that is exactly what strengthens our partnership.”
“Short delivery routes give us the flexibility and agility that are extremely important to us,” says Goedert.
