Infineon Technologies adds 135 V and 150 V product families to its OptiMOS 6 MOSFET portfolio. The devices are a complement to the newly launched OptiMOS 6 120 V MOSFETs and are made to fit the needs of drives and switched-mode power supply (SMPS) applications.
With the expanded portfolio, Infineon gives its customers many options from which to choose the ideal MOSFETs for a variety of uses.
Applications such as telecom, solar optimizers, high-power USB chargers, and server SMPS benefit from lower switching losses. Light electric vehicles (LEVs) and e-forklift motor inverters benefit greatly from improved conduction losses.
The new product families offer a reduction in on-state resistance RDS(on) of up to 50% and a 20% decrease in FOMg when compared to the previous generation (OptiMOS 5 150 V MOSFETs).
These two new families offer unmatched efficiency, power density, and reliability thanks to their extremely low RDS(on), enhanced switching performance, and superior EMI behavior. Less overshoot, ringing, and Qrr by up to 59% are achieved using a faster and softer body diode.
Customers can choose from a choice of package solutions for the OptiMOS 6 135 V and 150 V MOSFETs, giving them more alternatives for the best-fit products. TO-220, D2PAK 3-pin, D2PAK 7-pin, TOLL, TOLG, TOLT, SuperSO8 5×6, and PQFN 3.3×3.3 are among the many packages in this extensive portfolio.
