Streamlining Payment Card Manufacturers’ Tussle in Inventory Management

Payment card manufacturers face a problem in inventory management because they must remain flexible in response to ever-evolving consumer demands within a fiercely competitive market. Up until the moment of card issue to the final user, JCOP Pay running on JCOP 5 EMV offers safe and adaptable reconfiguration that permits modifications to payment scheme applications and settings.

Customers can now manage their inventories more effectively, and specific requests for several applications can be accommodated, providing more customization choices and greater flexibility in general.

“Customization and adaptability are crucial for payment card issuers,” said Christian Lackner, Senior Director, Secure Payment & Identification, NXP. “The flexible and secure reconfiguration options enabled by this newest generation of JCOP Pay allow our customers to rapidly shift existing inventory towards a changing set of consumer needs, ultimately giving them the flexibility needed to succeed in a competitive industry.”

Every major payment scheme is covered by an off-the-shelf solution provided by JCOP Pay, including the White Label Alliance’s WLA standard, which facilitates the development of local payment schemes.NXP JCOP Pay Enable Customization for Payment Cards The Volt Post

Furthermore, safe pin-sharing is another feature of JCOP Pay running on JCOP 5 EMV that lets users use the same card and PIN for numerous payment systems without sacrificing security.

The new rollout is also optimized for inductive coupling and traditional wire bond, which facilitates antenna tuning and allows for a greater yield at card manufacturing tolerances.
