NetApp announced a multi-year partnership with the Nasscom Foundation to create a skilling program in AI in Data Science, acknowledging India’s critical position in the global AI economy. The program was announced in Bengaluru in front of Rostow Ravanan, Chairperson of the Nasscom Foundation, and George Kurian, CEO of NetApp, furthering its dedication to advancing Data Science and AI Education.

By giving students in-demand skills in data science and artificial intelligence, the AI in Data Science program aims to develop the next generation of technical talent from marginalized populations.
In its initial phase, engineering graduates from communities with little resources in the states of Delhi and Karnataka will receive training through an extensive curriculum that combines technical proficiency with exposure to industry and employment preparation.
In addition to 120 hours of technical instruction in Python, data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning, participants at AI in Data Science program will also attend workshops on Kubernetes, persistent storage, and AI infrastructure that are handpicked by NetApp. In order to prepare graduates for the workforce, the program will also provide 60 hours of soft skill development, such as career counseling, collaboration, and communication.
With a goal of placing approximately 70% of the cohort in technology roles, industry-recognized credentials and job placement assistance will further improve employability.
By filling a vital gap, the requirement for qualified, ethical, and job-ready professionals, the skilling program advances India’s goal of becoming a global center for AI talent.
The AI in Data Science program will increase inclusiveness in the digital economy and open doors to fulfilling professions in technology through demanding technical instruction and practical experience.
