For easy wireless integration, element14 now offers Murata’s most recent UWB and LoRa connection modules. These state-of-the-art modules make it simpler to integrate wireless capabilities into a variety of applications by streamlining wireless development and certification.
Murata’s latest modules offer UWB tag and anchor features along with high-accuracy location capability in small packaging. Because these modules have integrated radio frequency front ends, implementing them is made easier and requires less RF experience. This makes it possible for developers to easily include advanced location features into their applications.
Murata also provides a small, integrated solution with an embedded MCU in their LoRa modules. The MCU may be customized to suit a variety of projects by developers that wish to use it as the Host for an End Node.
“We are pleased to announce the availability of Murata’s connectivity modules at element14,” said Weidi Zhu, President of Sales, APAC. “These modules represent a significant advancement in wireless connectivity technology and will empower developers to create innovative and robust wireless solutions across diverse industries.”
The UWB modules from Murata offer unmatched location accuracy and a plethora of options for RTLS and asset tracking applications. For both indoor and outdoor applications, the technology allows for location accuracy of about 0.1 meters. Hence, element 14 offers are as follows:
- FiRa certified UWB module, Type 2BPis the ultra small UWB module which includes NXP’s SR150 UWB chipset, clock, filters and peripheral components. Ideally suited for general IoT devices including battery operated devices.
- UWB module with integrated BLE wireless MCU, Type 2ABis designed as ultra-small, high quality and lower power consumption module. It can be operated on the wireless MCU making this a suitable part for wearables and applications where size is critical
- UWB tag module with integrated BLE wireless MCU. Type 2DKis an all-in-one UWB + Bluetooth® LE combo module which integrates NXP Trimension™ SR040 UWB Chipset, NXP QN9090 Bluetooth® LE + MCU chipset, on board antenna and peripheral components.Ideally suited for UWB Tag/Tracker which operates by coin-cell battery, and general IoT devices.
The Semtech SX1262 LoRa Connect Transceiver IC and ST Microelectronics STM32L0 MCU are two of the smallest LoRa Modules in the Murata Type 1SJ LoRa Modules lineup, which offers customers a Regulatory Certified Module that can serve as the foundation of a LoRa End Node product design. Among the LoRa modules that element14 offers are:
- LoRa OpenMCU Module, Type 1SJ-295 supplied as an OpenMCU configuration to allow custom Application to be flashed to integrated MCU, together with LoRa Stack.
- LoRaWAN Modem Module, Type 1SJ-6868 pre-flashed with modem Firmware and EUI to support LoRaWAN operation by AT Commands.
- LoRa Module Evaluation Kit to support development and verification for both OpenMCU and Modem configurations of Module.
