Muon Space announces the successful conclusion of Activate Capital-led Series B investment round, which totaled $56.7* million.

Muon Space Raise $56M Series B Funding Spurs SNC RF Tech the volt post
Muon Space to develop and deliver three next-generation satellites to further SNC’s Vindlér constellation, which will provide industry-leading RF collection and analytics functionality.

The round was joined by Acme Capital as well as previous investors Costanoa Ventures, Radical Ventures, and Congruent Ventures. The expansion of Muon’s Halo Platform is accelerated by this equity funding, which also puts the business in a position to expand the range of services it offers to an expanding customer base.

With over $100 million in confirmed customer contracts in 2024 for its Halo LEO satellites, Muon Space has demonstrated its quickly increasing momentum in the space technology sector.

The historic agreement with SNC for the creation and delivery of three next-generation satellites to advance SNC’s Vindlér commercial RF technology is a significant highlight of these contracts. In 2025, the first Muon satellite block is expected to be launched.

The industry-leading RF collecting and analytics functionality is provided by SNC’s Vindlér constellation. The ability to concurrently gather multiple signals of interest over an unprecedented range of the radio frequency spectrum will be greatly improved by the extra satellites. Additionally, this will raise overall downlink volumes, changing present commercial opportunities and enabling a wider range of mission sets.

“SNC teamed up with Muon Space for an advanced radio frequency sensing satellite capability and end-to-end mission solution,” said Tim Owings, Executive Vice President of SNC’s MST business area. “Muon’s scalable design, instrument development, and operations support, coupled with our RF technology, diverse data sets, and analytic capabilities, will provide a new level of commercial possibilities starting in 2025.”

In addition to highlighting the innovative possibilities of New Space and the agility of modular design in Muon’s Halo satellite technology, the partnership between SNC and Muon Space also highlights the combined strengths of an industry leader in ELINT/tactical sensors. Through this partnership, commercial radio solutions will be redefined, and a multitude of mission applications will receive unmatched value.

The Series B fundraising round demonstrates the faith that investors have in Muon Space’s novel strategy and promising market. With the money raised, Muon Space hopes to grow its business, broaden its range of products, and keep pushing the boundaries of space-based analytics and sensing.

The company’s expansion and the implementation of its strategic plans will be greatly aided by this cash, affirmed its official release.
