Microchip Technology has teamed up with Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) to integrate advanced 10BASE-T1S SPE solutions into future vehicle platforms.

This collaboration aims to create more efficient, reliable, and scalable automotive architectures amid rising demands for ADAS, EVs, and smart mobility.
The shift toward connected and autonomous vehicles requires high-performance networks that cut wiring complexity and costs. SPE technology unifies communication across systems, eliminating the need for multiple bus bridges and enabling seamless data flow.
Hyundai will leverage Microchip’s SPE portfolio complete with early samples and expert support to speed up development in electric vehicles and autonomous driving. This partnership positions both companies to lead in streamlined, future-proof vehicle electronics.
10BASE-T1S technology supports multi-drop Ethernet communication over a single twisted pair, extending in-vehicle networking to the edge connecting devices, actuators and sensors with greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
