At Mathademia 2024, MATH Creates Alliances with Over 50 Universities

The premier event organized by MATH, which gathered leading academic institutions, businesses, governments, and startups to foster innovation via idea sharing, was T-Hub’s biggest hackathon to date and among the biggest in Hyderabad.

With 8716 people participating in the hackathon, quiz, workshops, and startup presentation, the event had a record-breaking turnout of attendees. Notably, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by more than 50 Indian institutions and colleges with MATH, indicating a dedication to AI research, talent development, and business.

Distinguished guests included Mr. BVR Mohan Reddy, a Padma Shri recipient and founding member of T-Hub; Mr. Shardul Rao, Scientist-C, Under Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India; Mr. Aakrit Vaish, CEO of Haptik; and Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana government.

The Startup Showcase encouraged startup collaboration by showcasing innovative projects and cutting-edge technologies. Talentfarm.ai, KIS.ai, Rava.AI, Automate for AI, Hyperleap, and August are a few notable firms.

A few more well-known partners who help Mathademia include Automatr, IdeaLabs, Bharath Cloud, ICICI Bank, and Hyperleap. Talentfarm.ai hosted a 30-hour hackathon during the event, drawing bright minds to tackle practical AI problems. The hackathon, which was supervised by 54 mentors and distinguished academic members, demonstrated AI’s revolutionary potential in tackling social concerns.

Innovative AI applications, such as the identification and suppression of fake news and virtual health aides, were showcased at the Innovation Showcase. Aakrit Vaish, CEO of Haptik, gave a keynote speech that shed light on the direction AI will go and how it would affect many businesses.

Mathademia 2024’s success metrics are noteworthy: 1736 teams participated in the hackathon, and three winning teams were awarded cash awards, while the top two startups were given free incubation at MATH. 772 teams entered the quiz tournament, indicating a high level of interest and involvement.

Furthermore, more than 116 people registered for the Gen AI workshops, showing a high interest in sharing information and improving skills. The significance and scope of the event were further highlighted by the active participation of stakeholders from 77 colleges. Furthermore, the varied involvement of more than a hundred startups in a range of events highlighted the dynamic ecosystem that Mathademia has fostered, highlighting its importance in promoting creativity and cooperation within the AI and ML community.
