Magnachip Appoints Cristiano Amoruso as Independent Director

Cristiano Amoruso has been appointed to the board of directors of Magnachip Semiconductor Corporation as an independent director, with effect from January 14, 2026.

Mr. Amoruso has extensive experience in the semiconductor business and is a skilled investor and operating leader.

He is the Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder of Byreforge LLC, an investment firm with offices in London and New York that works with boards and management to enhance both strategic and operational aspects of publicly traded companies in order to create long-term value. He is presently a member of Navitas Semiconductor’s board of directors.

Prior to founding Byreforge, Cristiano Amoruso was the CEO and director of Suniva, Inc., the biggest private solar photovoltaic semiconductor manufacturer in the United States.

There, he designed and oversaw the company’s successful operational turnaround. At the same time, Mr. Amoruso was employed in top investing positions with the international investment firm Lion Point Capital, L.P.

He used to work for Starboard Value LP as an analyst. Mr. Amoruso received a Laurea in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bari (Italy) and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
