STMicroelectronics(ST), Li Auto comes under a long-term silicon carbide (SiC) supply agreement to manufacture new-gen BEVs. With this agreement, ST will provide Li Auto with ST SiC MOSFET devices to support Li Auto’s strategy around high-voltage battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in various market segments.
Making its major entrant into the high-voltage BEV market, Li Auto is set to launch a high-tech flagship family MPV BEV model that premiered in Q4 2023.
Li Auto BEV models to opt high volumes of ST SiC MOSFETs into its traction inverters to ensure superior electric-vehicle performance.
ST SiC MOSFETs Enable:
- Enhanced performance and efficiency through higher switching frequencies,
- Breakdown voltages, and thermal resistance.
Li Auto is adopting ST’s advanced third-generation 1200V ST SiC MOSFETs in the traction inverter of its upcoming 800V BEV platform, to ensure industry-leading process stability and performance, efficiency, and reliability.
