In partnership with COEP Technological University, KPIT Technologies announced the opening of the KPIT APEX Lab. APEX, which stands for Advanced Platform for Embedded eXpertise, is a strategic step in closing the gap between academic learning and industrial application.

It is a component of KPIT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and academia upskilling.
With the latest cutting-edge equipment, the lab is set up to enable instructors and students to work on practical embedded systems and hardware-software integration problems, encouraging creativity and industry preparedness.
The KPIT APEX Lab will benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD scholars, and faculty members, offering them a platform to:
- Build core technical competencies in embedded systems and hardware-software integration technologies
- Conduct advanced research and contribute to industry-relevant innovation
- Engage in continuous learning and cross-institutional collaboration
The lab encourages interdisciplinary learning, practical experience, and modular, credit-based education in accordance with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students from COEP Technological University and member institutions can access it because of its cluster-based format.
The cluster now consists of the following member institutions: Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Engineering, and AISSMS Institute of Information Technology. Additional colleges are anticipated to join.

This collaborative model encourages shared infrastructure, curriculum development, and faculty upskilling—ensuring a scalable and inclusive approach to technical education.
