Keysight Technologies has acquired Ansys PowerArtist business, according to a definitive agreement between Ansys and Synopsys. The closing of Synopsys’ proposed acquisition of Ansys, which is awaiting regulatory approvals and is anticipated to close in the first half of 2025, and other customary closing conditions, such as regulatory authorities’ evaluation, are subject to the transaction. Ansys and Synopsys concluded that in order to secure regulatory permission for Synopsys’ proposed acquisition of Ansys, PowerArtist had to be sold.
Semiconductor companies employ Ansys PowerArtist, a comprehensive RTL design-for-power platform, for early-stage power reduction, analysis, and profiling. Ansys PowerArtist offers quick turnaround on multibillion instance designs in contrast to conventional gate-level approaches, allowing power-related design choices to be made sooner in the design phase.
Keysight Technologies is a significant global supplier to electronics and semiconductor firms. Its intention to strengthen its position in the high-performance system design and simulation software industry is furthered by its proposed acquisition of the PowerArtist company.
The specifics of the deal were not made public, and the sale of PowerArtist has no bearing on Ansys’ financial situation. The Ansys PowerArtist staff, clients, and partners are all committed to a smooth transition.
Ansys is dedicated to delivering the same superior level of customer support that its clients have become used to, and it will continue to offer Ansys PowerArtist as part of its product range until the deal complete.
