Ideal Power announced a collaboration with Kaimei Electronic, a top producer of motor fans, resistors, and electrolytic capacitors. Kaimei Electronic Corp. will distribute Ideal Power’s products across Asia as part of this partnership.
Ideal Power and Kaimei Electronic are collaborating to market Ideal Power’s cutting-edge B-TRANÂ technology to Kaimei’s current and potential customers in addition to their own line of products. Kaimei will function as a third-party distributor for the first product line, B-TRAN.
As a manufacturer of high-value electronic components, Kaimei has enjoyed decades of success, exporting to over 60 nations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The industrial, automotive, renewable energy, energy storage, UPS, and EV charging sectors are among the several target areas that Kaimei and Ideal Power share.
Since the same customers who purchase Kaimei’s products may also become B-TRAN customers, the alliance will take advantage of Kaimei’s current sales experience and customers.
Ideal Power’s asset-light business model is in line with the distribution agreement with Kaimei. Ideal Power makes use of the significant investments previously made in demand generation, distribution, packaging, silicon processing, and support infrastructure.
This business strategy promotes working capital efficiency while enabling the company to keep concentrating on commercialization and innovative B-TRAN technology advancements.
