Johnson Controls just unveiled their latest breakthrough in cooling data centers: the YORK YDAM air-cooled magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller. It’s designed specifically to tackle the tight spaces and tricky setups in dense, multi-story data centers.
Drawing on their top-rated YORK YVAM chiller tech, the YORK YDAM chiller packs in leading cooling power while taking up less room letting data centers grow quicker and smarter without using any water.
With land getting scarcer, we’re seeing more multi-level data centers and AI facilities where server rack areas are up to 10 times denser than before.
Operators need beefier cooling that fits under smaller roofs. The YDAM delivers 3.5MW of cooling up to 20% more capacity per square foot than rivals in a super-compact design.
It even fits on a standard 53-foot flatbed trailer for easy shipping and lower install costs. Shipments start late next year.
