Intuitive’s New GCC in Bengaluru to Disrupt Surgical Robotics

Official opening of Intuitive’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru was recently announced. The new center aims to spur innovation and make it possible to improve operational effectiveness for the entire international organization. With regard to IT support, enterprise analytics, software quality, human resource management system (HRMS), and post-market surveillance—all of which enhance the security, functionality, and dependability of Intuitive’s systems and technologies—the GCC will be one of the company’s primary global hubs. The GCC will play a significant role in Intuitive’s operations, demonstrating the company’s commitment to excellence, quality, and innovation.

More than 250 full-time jobs, including roles that will enhance the complete product lifecycle through product upgrades, quality control, and customer support, are anticipated by Intuitive at the GCC. This growth is in line with Intuitive’s dedication to developing a vibrant and welcoming work environment, and the GCC team will uphold the company’s basic values of honesty, openness, and adaptability. 

With the use of cutting-edge robotic technology and an inventive ecosystem of services, solutions, and learning, Intuitive has carefully improved minimally invasive care in India.

Across the nation, state government medical colleges, medical institutes, and top commercial and public hospitals all use intuitive technology. While inaugurating the centre, Dr. Sharanprakash Rudrappa Patil, Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka said, “Today marks a significant step forward as we welcome the establishment of a Global Capability Center in Bangalore, a city known for its dynamic growth and future potential. We recognize the pivotal role of cutting-edge technologies like robotics in the future of surgery and are committed to supporting such innovations”.

With further collaboration, including public-private partnerships, we can expand these advancements to even the most remote areas. The government looks forward to working with medical technology leaders like Intuitive to bring modern healthcare technology to every corner of Karnataka, said Rudrappa.
