Infineon Technologies and Marelli are collaborating to develop automotive display technology with an innovative MEMS laser beam scanning (LBS) solution. Based on Infineon’s LBS technology, this solution allows Marelli to create immersive cockpit experiences that are free of the limits of standard displays. This cutting-edge technology will be demonstrated at Marelli’s exhibit at Auto Shanghai 25.
The Infineon MEMS LBS system is entirely automotive-compliant. It is resistant to shock and vibration and meets ASIL-B requirements. Its tiny chip-scale package offers adaptability and allows for diverse design options, making it easy to integrate across multiple applications, including creating immersive cockpit.
Furthermore, the system’s excellent efficiency ensures a bright, clear display even in high ambient light situations while lowering power consumption and heat generation, making it ideal for demanding vehicle environments.
A broad depth of field allows for focus-free projection, simplifying the optical design. These characteristics enable OEMs to differentiate their cockpit design, an immersive cockpit, while still providing detailed information displays.
