Infineon Technologies AURIX TC3x microcontrollers (MCUs) now support FreeRTOS. One essential software that operates on the microcontroller is called a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), which effectively controls hardware and software resources to guarantee reliable and timely job execution.
An RTOS abstracts away the complexity of hardware by acting as a bridge between application software and hardware, allowing developers to concentrate on their application code. This shortens time-to-market and permits application code to be reused and portable across several abstraction levels.
