Infineon and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) have signed an MoU to co-develop innovative electric drivetrain and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems / Automated Driving solutions. The objective is to accelerate the development and localization of cutting-edge automotive technologies in India.

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together to develop advanced semiconductor solutions for the Indian automotive sector.
The partnership will concentrate on creating vehicle control units and EV inverters specifically for use in Indian electric vehicles. To encourage the use of these drivetrain technologies by automakers nationwide, both parties are increasing market exposure and promoting them.
The partnership will include drivetrain solutions as well as cooperative development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) solutions, such as Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Automated Emergency Braking (AEB), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).
The partnership also discusses the increasing significance of cybersecurity in today’s software-defined and connected automobiles. In order to provide reliable and secure automotive solutions, Infineon and ARAI will keep promoting that both companies’ goods and services handle and lessen a range of cybersecurity issues.
