As Edge AI becomes more widely used in consumer and industrial applications, Infineon Technologies is expanding its portfolio of AI software. The company has launched DEEPCRAFT, a new software solution category brand for Edge AI and Machine Learning, in light of this.
Infineon, in its official release, has affirmed that the company is aware of the enormous commercial potential of Edge AI and the significance of giving customers the resources they need to take advantage of it.
In addition to the current Edge AI software products DEEPCRAFT Studio and DEEPCRAFT Ready Models (previously Imagimob Studio and Imagimob Ready Models), the DEEPCRAFT brand portfolio will swiftly grow to offer Infineon customers an even greater selection of new Edge AI and Machine Learning software tools, models, and solutions.

Launch of new DEEPCRAFT Ready Models
Imagimob, an Edge AI business owned by Infineon, has released more Ready Models concurrently with the release of DEEPCRAFT.
These AI models are ready for production and can be deployed with ease. The five new models expand the audio detection product line to include gesture and surface detection using radar sensors, human fall detection using an accelerometer, and more for industrial customers.
Numerous features catered to the demands of clients can be activated via the new DEEPCRAFT Ready Models. Among the new models are:
- DEEPCRAFT Ready Model for Direction of Sound Arrival Detection can be paired with other audio detection models to determine where a sound is coming from. When paired with the Ready Model for Siren Detection, for example, vehicles can understand which direction an emergency vehicle is coming from; That information can then be used to trigger various safety enhancements or to enable autonomous driving.
- DEEPCRAFT Ready Model for Surface Detection is designed to let smart lawn mowers determine whether a surface is grass or not using a radar-based model, bringing a new level of sophistication to these devices.
- DEEPCRAFT Ready Model for Factory Alarm Detection brings an added layer of safety to factory workers. It can, for example, be used to send an alert to workers wearing noise cancelling headphones or similar equipment when a siren or alarm goes off which might otherwise be inaudible.
- DEEPCRAFT Ready Model for Gesture Detection makes smart homes and lifestyle products easier to use. For example, items can be turned on or off and volume can be raised or lowered with a radar-based model that recognizes five hand gestures.
- DEEPCRAFT Ready Model for Fall Detection uses an accelerometer to understand motion and recognize falling, with minimal battery consumption for long battery life in wearables, providing safety for users, especially senior citizens.
Imagimob, who became part of Infineon in May 2023, spearheads innovation in Edge AI and tiny ML, paving the way for the intelligent products of the future. Faster time-to-market and revolutionary productivity are features of Imagimob products.
A framework called DEEPCRAFT Studio enables the quick end-to-end creation of Edge AI apps for embedded systems. Quick and simple Edge AI implementation is made possible by off-the-shelf DEEPCRAFT Ready Models.
