INBRAIN Neuroelectronics Bags €4 Mn Grant for Graphene-Based Cognitive Computer

INBRAIN Neuroelectronics reported that the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism has given the company a €4 million grant under the PERTE Chip project. On May 5, 2025, the Ministry provisionally allocated €53.2 million to support 37 breakthrough initiatives across 11 autonomous communities. INBRAIN’s project was chosen among numerous for its high impact potential in fields such as disruptive materials, semiconductor manufacturing, cybersecurity, and AI-based computing tools.

INBRAIN’s technology platform employs graphene neural interfaces to provide ultra-precise, adaptive, and biocompatible neuromodulation for a variety of illnesses, including Parkinson’s disease, stroke rehabilitation, epilepsy, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.INBRAIN Neuroelectronics €4 million under PERTE Chip project the volt post

The PERTE Chip initiative – “Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation of Microelectronics and Semiconductors” – seeks to strengthen the design and production capabilities of Spain’s microelectronics and semiconductor industries in a comprehensive manner, while also promoting strategic technological autonomy for both Spain and the European Union.
