A material subsidiary of Amber Group, IL JIN Electronics India Pvt Ltd, has signed final agreements to acquire a controlling stake in Unitronics (1989) (R”G) Ltd, a company established in Israel.
With its all-in-one software for machine and process control across multiple industries, Unitronics provides a wide range of industrial automation products that are tailored to meet the specific needs of various applications.
These products include PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interface), PLCs with integrated HMIs, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), Servo Drives, SaaS solutions like UniCloud, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) with integrated business intelligence.
With the US and European markets accounting for about 55% and 40% of its revenues, respectively, Unitronics has a strong global presence and delivers its solutions through a vast sales network.
In order to improve operational efficiencies, spur innovation, and fortify its product position in India, Unitronics plans to take advantage of IL JIN’s vast electronic manufacturing experience and pan-India footprint.
The acquisition is in line with Amber Electronic Division’s plan to increase the range of industrial applications for its products. By improving competitiveness in India, localizing manufacturing through backward integration, and gaining access to international markets like the US and Europe in the face of growing demand for Industry 4.0 and real-time data technology, the combined strength creates a solid basis for faster growth.
This strategic move marks a significant expansion for IL JIN, Amber’s Electronic Division, as it broadens its portfolio from Consumer Durables, Hearable and Wearable, Telecom, Automotive, Energy Meters, and Defence into the industrial electronics segment with global access.
The partnership aims to leverage the capabilities of both organisations to achieve sustainable growth in the field of industrial automation.
