A binding agreement has been reached  between HMS Networks AB (publ) (“HMS”), a global provider of industrial information and communication technology, and DOGAWIST-Investment GmbH to purchase all of the shares in PEAK-System Technik GmbH (“PEAK-System”), a reputable German supplier of industrial communication solutions and experts in automotive communication technologies like CAN and LIN.

Through the acquisition, HMS will be better positioned to provide communication solutions for cutting-edge engineering tools, testing, and control in the transportation, automotive, and medical industries affirmed its official release.

Although CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Flexray, and Automotive Ethernet are all automotive communication technologies with a lot of similar experience, HMS sees several synergies between PEAK-System and HMS’ Business Unit Ixxat. However, these applications and target audiences are different.

As a result, there are plenty of chances for cross-selling, both in terms of product development and making use of both businesses’ sales channels.

The acquisition is expected to enhance HMS‘ worldwide standing in the automotive communication industry, particularly in the German market.
